WHEN
|
After the success of the first CEDA’s ENG-OPTIM’Contest
that was organized last Oct. 2010 during the
Int. Workshop on Symbolic and Numerical
Methods, Modeling and Applications to
Circuit Design (SM2ACD), the 2nd edition of
this competition will take place next Dec.
2011 at “the International Conference
on Microelectronics” (www.ieee-icm.com).
The contest will be organized by the IEEE
CEDA Tunisian Chapter in collaboration with
the IEEE CAS (Circuits and Systems), IEEE
MTT (Microwave Theory and Techniques), IEEE
CS (Computer Society) Tunisia Chapters, and
both the ENIS and ENIT Student Branches.
|
WHAT |
Presently, optimization techniques have
become crucial tools in the engineering
fields (analog, digital and mixed design,
Systems, RF circuits, telecommunication,
multi-domains (MEMS, nano-, opto-electronics,
mechatronics) and so on.
The aim of this competition is to focus on
contributions of IEEE (Tunisian)
Members/Student Members on techniques and
stratagems relevant to the wide engineering
application spectrum.
Key words: engineering, heuristics,
problems, optimization, Operations Research
& Decision Theory, etc. |
WHO |
The
contest concerns all IEEE ‘Tunisian’ members
and Student Members. |
HOW |
Interested persons will have to send a
4-page contribution using the IEEE/ICM
Template (available at the ICM website), no
late than November
20, 2011.
Submitted papers will be evaluated by the
contest’s scientific committee. A selection
will be made, and authors of the retained
papers will have to present their papers
next December in a parallel session at the
ICM Conference.
-
Selected Papers will be included in the
ICM Proceedings and published in IEEE
Xplore.
-
Among them three will be awarded by the
IEEE CEDA Chapter.
-
A special prize will be accorded to the
best paper.
|
WHERE |
Submissions have to be made by email to
mourad.fakhfakh@ieee.org. Please specify
in the email subject: CEDA Contest 2011+your
name. Further details will be transmitted by
email and/or via the ICM website. |
Local Organizing Committee:
